Have you ever considered to work as a firefighter in Toronto? If you said yes, the Toronto Fire Service has opened its door to recruit new firefighters. Until now, more than 3,000 candidates have applied to become a firefighter in Toronto. It is one of the most prestigious services I’ve seen. If you are interested in the position you must be 18 years old or more; be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, landed immigrant or hold a valid work permit); be able to communicate clearly in English and under stress full conditions, etc. You can check the Toronto Fire Services for the complete list of qualifications.
The current salary ranges are:
- $49,351 Probationer (1 yr)
- $58,926 after successfully completing one year of training
- $73,658 for a 1st Class Firefighter
