There are a lot of websites that you can use to find a job in Canada. It is always good to put your resume online. However, keep in mind that you need to have your resume in a canadian format. Chances are that you will re-write your resume again with the Canadian format. Oh, I almost forgot :) You will have at least 10 copies of your resume – one copy for each job you apply. Be organized and try to keep a copy of your resumes.

Below you can find a list of good places to submit your resume online:

What I should also tell you is that most of the time, before companies start looking for a job and also advertise, they look for references for its own employees. So, tell everyone that you’re looking for a job. Network is the key to find a job in Canada.

  • Hi Abera,

The first thing you should know is if you have the skills or not to immigrate. I'd say you check your qualifications at http://www.cic.gc.ca and look for the Skilled Worker program.

I must tell you already 8 month has gone since I am searching for a job offer like forklift operator or heavy truck driver or pizza maker but it seem impossible to get job offers these days.
I have been sending resumes all websites possible but in vain, I just want that my small daughter of nearly 5 years start her schools in canada. I will be greatful if you can give me any advice any website that can really help me or my wife searching job offers like production assembly workers, cleaner jobs in hospitals or airport, domestic jobs. Hope to hear from you soonly. Thank you in advance for your time.

    Hi gean!!
I lived in ireland,I want to immigrate in canada,As, am studying ACCA and i don't have any experience in working in accouting i wanted to know where should i look so that i can get a job offer in accounting in canada.

    THANKS
  • Baldev: It is difficult to find a job in Canada if you're not living here. Maybe your resume is not written the way employers are looking for in Canada? Maybe you don't have the qualifications needed for the job? Why don't you try to come to Canada and see yourself? You can find answer to your questions.

Lethicha: The websites are the same. However, as you said, if you don't have experience, it is really difficult for you to find a job in Canada. Maybe you can come to Canada as a student, look for a college or university and then, at the end of the course, look for jobs in Canada.

I am looking forward to joining the Canadian workforce within the next year. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a Minor in Religion at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. My scheduled graduation date is summer 2010. My immigration status is F-1 international student from St. Lucia. I hope to apply for a work permit within the next few months as my goal is to move to Canada when I graduate. I am aware of the work permit process and most of my paper work are in place and will be furbished to you when needed. I would also want to know if employers apply for a work permit on your behalf because in order to apply for a work permit I would need to find an employer who is willing to hire me.Please take my interest into consideration. I have also attached a copy of my resume to this email.

    Thank You

    Earl Curtis Alcide
