Here come’s 2010

by Gean Oliveira on January 3, 2010

Well, I’ve written a post to you talking about my plans for 2010 and I just lost it. And I am not planning to write another one in the future, but for now, I just want to wish you a Happy New Year and that all your dreams become true in 2010. My New Years Eve was different from what I have been doing before – for the first time I went to Nathan Philips Square. It was not very cold, just a little bit of rain, and the guys from Breakfast Television were there hosting the show. Some Bands were performing, people cheering waiting for the counting down.

I was expecting a huge fireworks show but unfortunately it didn’t take so long. When I was preparing my Iphone to take some pictures, it already finished and people were leaving the place.  However, I found a video that shows you what happened there:

  • Hey Zhu, where you there? Well, I did not get your message :(
And fireworks are always like what you've seen - not so great, unfortunately.

    I was there too ;-)

I'm not sure whether you got my text messages. I had troubles calling because my phone is from Ottawa, therefore even though I was in TO it's still long distance. Stupid Canadian phones!

We stayed two night downtown then we moved to Mississauga because hotels were very expensive around New Year. Since the weather wasn't great after, we drove to Niagara Falls and the US. I feel bad we didn't get to meet but I'm sure we will next time.

The fireworks lasted what... two minutes?! Yet it was cool. I couldn't believe how crowded it was... and everyone left as soon as the fireworks were over!
