Embracing Canada is a project from the RCI Canada International that started showing the saga of two Brazilians: Patrick and Valeria. They decided to immigrate to Canada back in 2007. The program airs every Friday night and you can watch the webisodes (a video of what they’ve been doing).
Actually, the first season has finished (if I can call as a first season). It was nice to watch the webisodes and remember what happened to us in the beginning – the difficulties, the language barrier, finding the first place to rent, the job hunting, etc. I had a chance to talk with Patrick and Valeria while they’re still in Brazil and looking for information to immigrate to Canada. Right now they are living in Montreal and I’m glad they’re doing the right thing, one step at a time – congratulations! You can watch their webisodes following this link from RCI International.
Now, Embracing Canada is following the steps of two other families: one family from India and another family from Morroco. If I were you, I’d subscribe to RCI’s podcast or even visit the website regularly to see what’s going on. Best of luck for everyone.
